Welcome to WSRO's Sugars & Health Short Training Course - Sugar: Beyond the Headlines.

 

This bespoke e-learning training course explores the key sugars & health and science policy topics in an engaging and interactive format. 

 

The complete course takes less than an hour to complete, split into 4 x 10-minute modules. Move at your own pace, take the complete course or select the modules of most interest to you. The course covers the key Sugars & Health and Sugars & Health Policy topics. Exclusively available to WSRO's members, the course is suitable for anyone in your organisation who wants to know the core concepts.

These engaging and interactive online training modules have been designed for self-directed learning.

You will learn about the basics of sugars and the evidence-based consensus surrounding sugars and health.

No previous nutrition or scientific knowledge is required.

The course content will cover:

Module 1: What actually is sugar?

Module 2: Why are sugars added to foods and drinks?

Module 3: Are sugars really the villain?

Module 4: Can policies change what we eat and drink?

The course contains video animations, interactive activities and references for supporting scientific information.

In total this course will take approximately 45 minutes to complete but it doesn’t have to be completed all at once and you have the option to select the modules of most interest to you. You can do the course at your own pace – there is no time limit. You can log back in at any time and pick up where you left off.
